Brussels Airlines' updated winter schedule
Extended winter capacity
This winter season Brussels Airlines adds one new destination and increases several frequencies to the sun on its medium-haul network. It will also increase capacity to West-Africa between October 2024 and March 2025.
End of October, the IATA winter season 2024 will kick off and it can be a long one in Europe.
That is why, in cooperation with some tour operators, the airline will offer one weekly flight on Sunday to Fuerteventura (Spain). This brings the total of Canary Islands destinations in its portfolio to four.
Furthermore, as from this winter, both Athens (Greece) and Krakow (Poland) will be scheduled year-round, with respectively four and three weekly connections.
And to extend the summer season, increased frequencies will be offered for several destinations such as Faro, Lisbon and Porto (Portugal) or Alicante, Malaga and Valencia, (Spain).
Birmingham (United Kingdom) will also be reintroduced with six weekly rotations in winter.
Brussels Airlines is further enhancing its winter flight schedule by significantly increasing the number of flights to Warsaw and Budapest. Budapest will now have up to 13 weekly flights, while Warsaw will see an increase to 15 weekly flights.
Shifting capacity from East- to West-Africa
Since the introduction of a 10th long-haul Airbus A330 aircraft in June of this year, the Belgian home carrier continues to grow its presence on the African continent. This expansion will continue as three additional long-haul aircraft will join the fleet in the coming years.
During Winter 2024-2025, Brussels Airlines will operate Nairobi (Kenya) four times per week. The carrier will also add additional weekly flights to Conakry (Guinea), Freetown (Sierra Leone) and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) between October and March.
