Job Purpose
  • Handle, evaluate and identify to grow your portfolio of travel agencies, VFR partners and tour operators to support country plan and achieve agreed sales revenue targets.
  • Plan, develop and implement effective sales and marketing initiatives within portfolio to increase Emirates market share and revenue.
  • Work closely with Sales Support, Groups, Sales team to ensure that all opportunities are exploited effectively.
  • Negotiate and follow up incentive agreements with leisure clients and work with Business Intelligence data to review/assess performance on a regular basis.
  • Closely monitor area sales performance and forward trend data.
  • Capitalize on new business opportunities and recommend action where necessary to maximize revenue and the profitability of the airline.
  • Travel in Belgium and Luxembourg to visit trade partners assigned on the required call frequency basis to build and maintain strong commercial relationships and maintain necessary records in salesforce.com.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company and organize and attend roadshows, trade events, conferences, and familiarization trips on a regular basis to establish contacts, network and promote the interests of Emirates within and/or in out of office hours as required.
  • Regularly conduct Emirates product trainings with trade partners to ensure that assigned travel agents are kept up to date with all Emirates products, development and services

Profile

  • Experience in the travel agency/airline industry including 3 years in outdoor sales
  • Recent demonstrable achievements as outdoor sales
  • GDS/NDC knowledge would be an advantage
  • Current experience and knowledge of travel trade distribution is essential
  • Experience and knowledge of the travel trade sector is essential
  • Strong ability to source new opportunities
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with CRM tools like salesforce.com
  • Team player person with a desire to achieve results
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English, French and Dutch
  • Valid Driving License is essential
